Sheep

There is a lot of variety when it comes to sheep and we have a little bit of most everything in our surrounding area including guardian and herding dogs.  There is a local producer that is willing to help people market their goats and sheep.  He generally sells about once a month.  We also have a few producers in our area that can provide people with show animals.  We would be glad to get you in touch if you would like.  If you are interesting in show sheep please see this article on the Club Master program:  www.southernstates.com/articles/livestock-competition-club-master.aspx.  Sheep can be hard on pastures, making rotational grazing a really effective way to improve both animal and grass production.  For more information please see:  Forage Production.
